So, you are thinking of getting into beekeeping? Or know someone who is? We offer an intensive half-day beekeeping course to introduce you to the world of bees so you can fast forward your learning.

A voucher for a half-day beekeeping course with up to 5 others.

(Weather depending) courses will be held within a turret of Caldicot Castle, inside the meadery HQ, and 1 other site nearby.

The session will be run by Matt, our resident beekeeper!

We will begin with an introduction to bees and beekeeping, and after a comfort break we'll get into suits and meet some bees directly so you can get a feel for their behaviour, learn some basic handling techniques, and learn how to do your best to keep yourself and others safe.

Please bring sturdy footwear, and wear something you will be comfortable wearing inside a bee suit - a t-shirt, and either shorts or light trousers - it does get quite warm!
