Great Taste Judging Notes
"A full on floral blossom honey aroma. A lovely complexity to this mead - well balanced throughout with woody and toasted notes and a soft sweetness rolling in to a soft lemony acidity with a long finish. Altogether beautifully crafted and thoroughly enjoyable."
"A delightful, promising nose with a heady, blossomed fragrance to this gorgeous pale yellow mead. Softly sweet and nuanced, rounded and complex and deeply floral. The combination of flowers bring a characterful honeyed richness. Smooth and silken on the palate with lingering floral notes on the finish. A really delightful and delicious mead with both fragrance and floral complexity."

Setting some of our award winning Traditional Mead aside to age in Oak whiskey barrels has created a wondrously dark, deep, woody celebration of the best parts of oak and honey. This traditional mead is layered with natural vanillins from the oak barrel with undertones of whiskey that used to call it home, beautifully balanced with our delicious late summer honey.
Great Taste Judging Notes:
"Aromas of toast with underlying beeswax and the lift of citrus. We loved the layers of texture, accumulating in a finish that displays both corn mill and peat. A sophisticated and complex mead."
"This has a lovely depth of bright amber colour; very intense on the nose, with pronounced notes of manuka honey, sweet yet smokey. This is an impressively deep and complex mead with almost umami depth, balancing the rich, intense honey with savoury notes. The flavours are complex, long and lingering."

Great Taste Judging Notes:
"Rich and savoury on the nose, this golden mead has a gentle smokiness that is akin to that of a whisky. The mouthfeel is pleasing, and the florality is deep and rounded. A wonderful mead that is beautifully executed and delicate."
"A lovely golden colour and very clear. Surprisingly savoury and quite funky, farm-yardy in aroma, probably from the honey - it's certainly not a sweet smell, nor smoky. Surprisingly light in texture, like a white wine - much less viscous than we'd anticipated. On the palate, less sweet than one might expect from a mead and not at all cloying. It has the acidity of cider with the a sweet touch of dessert wine. This is so unusual - it would certainly be a conversation starter. Lovely, clean, satisfying finish."
