This award winning honey is made using organic honey from beekeepers in Zambia.
Please note: Depending on the time of year, the consistency of the Zambian forest honey may vary. For example the set honey may become clear (runny) because of warm weather. The clear honey will also start to set or ‘crystallise’ when temperatures start to fall.

This honey is cold pressed, which means it retains a higher pollen content. The forest it’s harvested from contains no GMOs for hundreds of miles. No antibiotics or sugar feeding are used when keeping the bees. It’s Fair Trade and organic certified, kept by village beekeepers.

Once your order has been placed we aim to have it packed within 24 hours of purchasing. However, during our busier times (November, December and January) it can sometimes take 2-4 days.
We ship via Parcelforce and their Express24 service, so it should arrive with you the next working day once packed and collected from us.

Wainwrights have been working with beekeepers from Zambia since 1983. In that time not much has changed with how this honey is collected. Bark hives are still hung from trees, keeping them safe from the local wildlife. They are occupied by wild swarms which fill the combs with rich aromatic honey completely unique to any honey that is collected in the UK. The only change these hives have been through is now there are more hives and bees to populate them thanks to the next generation taking up the mantle of keeping bees. Thus ensuring the continued growth and vitality of the forest.
