Monte Carlo Apiary Cocktail

Inspired by Monte Carlo and apiary, the home of the honeybee, this sophisticated mead cocktail combines the warmth of reposado tequila with the rich, oak-aged character of Hive Mind’s Oak Whisky Barrel-Aged Mead and the alpine botanical notes of Green Chartreuse.

The result is a bold, spirit-forward tequila cocktail with mead, balancing smoky oak, honey, vanilla and herbal flavours. The barrel-aged mead brings natural sweetness and depth to the drink, while Green Chartreuse adds a complex botanical finish.

Ingredients

  • 50ml Cazcabel Tequila Reposado
  • 25ml Hive Mind Oak Whisky Barrel-Aged Mead
  • 20ml Green Chartreuse
  • Ice

Method

Add the tequila, Hive Mind Oak Whisky Barrel-Aged Mead and Green Chartreuse to a mixing glass filled with ice. Stir well until chilled, then strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass.

This barrel-aged mead cocktail is a great way to enjoy mead in a more contemporary style, combining traditional honey wine with tequila and herbal liqueur.
