Big Smoke is a robust smoked porter brewed with dark roasted malts, beechwood-smoked malt and British honey. Inspired by traditional smoked beers and our own beekeeping heritage, it balances rich chocolate and coffee notes with gentle smokiness and a smooth, rounded finish.

Brewed using around 30% British honey and 70% malted barley, this historic style of beer sits somewhere between a traditional porter and a braggot. The honey ferments alongside the malt, adding body, subtle floral complexity and a rounded finish rather than obvious sweetness.

Tasting Notes

Rich chocolate and roasted coffee aromas are followed by gentle beechwood smoke, dark caramel and hints of toasted honey. Full-bodied and velvety, with a smooth malt backbone and a long, warming finish balanced by delicate earthy bitterness.
